About the role:
Aptean is a fast-growing yet well-established global software company. We are expanding our Sheffield-based EMEA Finance team to support Aptean’s continued growth in the UK and Europe. This role would suit a part-qualified accountant with some experience in an accounting role and an appetite to learn in a fast-paced, globally-oriented environment.
Duties will involve all aspects of financial and management accounts:
- Posting of month-end journals (prepayments, accruals, etc.).
- Coding of purchase invoices.
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items.
- Analysis of trends and financial performance data.
- Responsibility for a portfolio of entities to review and monitor on a monthly basis.
- Adherence to month-end procedures and timescales to meet Group reporting commitments.
- Monitoring of expense invoices for certain entities to ensure timely cash allocation.
- Supporting Group and local statutory audits.
- Ad hoc projects as required by management.
About you:
- In the mid to final stages of ACA or equivalent; different levels of experience will be considered.
- Previous experience within a finance team, ideally working with European entities.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Adaptable with a flexible and positive mindset.
- Strong teamwork ethic.
- European language skills would be advantageous.
