Pharmaceutical Analyst in Cwmbran

Role and Location: A exciting position at Nanopharm, an Aptar Pharma Company: Pharmaceutical Analyst reporting into Senior Scientist/Associate Manager. This position will be based in Cwmbran and will involve conducting pharmaceutical product analysis for our customers to a high degree of precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pharmaceutical product analysis for customers with high precision and efficiency.
• Work diligently with experimental testing of pharmaceutical products.
• Review own data to ensure alignment with expected standards, identify trends, and share findings with the Senior Scientist and line manager.
• Understand the fundamental scientific concepts behind how products work and the analytical tests performed.
• Read analytical methodologies and raise queries to the Senior Scientist or Line Manager prior to testing.
• Prepare analysis solutions, mobile phases and diluents accurately in accordance with provided methods and procedures.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner, delivering to the agreed project plan.
• Use analytical materials, consumables and test items responsibly, maintaining good stock levels.
• Record data accurately and contemporaneously (ALCOA+) and discuss results with senior team members.
• Take ownership for own training and development, highlighting training needs to management.
• Communicate status of projects clearly and promptly raise any errors or issues.

Education, Experience & Skills:

Education & Qualification: Preferably a first degree in a science, pharmacy or relevant discipline of grade 2.1 or above.

Experience:

• Experience in inhalation/respiratory product development or research (preferred).
• Understanding of regulatory requirements e.g. GMP, ICH, COSHH.
• Experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (preferred).
• Experience in a GMP compliant environment (preferred).
• Experience of working in a lab-based environment.
