About the Role
My clients seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Supervisor to lead and support engineers across a portfolio of multi-site buildings. The role helps ensure that critical ventilation, cooling and air-handling systems operate efficiently, safely and in line with relevant statutory requirements.
The Air Conditioning Supervisor will supervise engineers, oversee maintenance delivery, carry out quality checks and act as a technical escalation point for complex HVAC issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mobile and site-based air conditioning engineers across multiple locations.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure reactive works are completed promptly and to a high standard.
- Carry out site audits and quality inspections, ensuring compliance with SFG20 and relevant statutory requirements.
- Provide technical support across air conditioning, VRV/VRF, split systems, air handling units (AHUs) and ventilation systems.
- Lead troubleshooting and support the resolution of high-priority issues in specialist or critical environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset reports and statutory compliance records.
- Liaise with client estates teams, building managers, contractors and internal management.
- Support the training, mentoring and performance development of engineers.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures and applicable compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong air conditioning/HVAC background, with a minimum Level 2 refrigeration qualification and F-Gas Category 1 certification.
- Experience working in academic, healthcare, commercial or other complex and highly regulated environments.
- Previous supervisory, senior engineer or team-lead experience.
- Good understanding of ventilation standards, PPM regimes and engineering best practice.
- Full UK driving licence, as the role involves travel between sites.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites with a customer-focused approach.
