Due to growth, my client, a leading M&E Building Services provider are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join their team. The Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in analysing project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates. This position requires the Electrical Estimator to have a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and overheads.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Conduct market research to gather current pricing information for materials and services.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within projects that may affect costs.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, including changes and revisions.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.
- Assist in the development of cost control measures to ensure project budgets are adhered to.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate estimation.
