The Role:
I'm currently working with an M&E building services provider who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The role will be based in Dartford and working on Projects based in London and the South East.
Job Duties:
- Estimate HVAC work.
- Lead and foster a positive working environment.
- Understand and communicate mechanical concepts.
- Provide expert technical advice/support to all ABSL employed personnel and clients alike, throughout the project period, so as to offer pro-active solutions to any issues that may arise.
- Create and issue all required H&S documentation from inception and for the duration of the project to completion as per client specific and industry expectations.
- Negotiate all material and labour orders in line with and ahead of expected margins, working closely with the procurement manager, once appointed.
- Organise and deploy all required labour on site in line with the scope, estimate and project plan.
- Having full awareness in respect of the Profit and Loss position of the project, escalating queries and any possible future movements to ABSL senior management immediately that the issue arises.
- Track and forecast all labour, project management hours and material expenditure in line with the estimate.
- Apply all invoice applications and valuations on time and to client specific detail, following up with regular contact with the client to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Attend all site meetings, including preparation of reports in line with expected frequency, as per the contract scope.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering a broad scope of HVAC projects across an acute sector of clients.
- Comprehensive experience of all aspects associated with Project Management and delivery of a broad package of HVAC projects up to a value of £2M.
- HNC or equivalent qualifications within at least one HVAC discipline.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic - results driven.
- Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project.
- AutoCAD experience is preferred.
