As a Building Services Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing a range of mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment across Central and Greater London.
The Role:
Your responsibilities will include inspecting, repairing, and carrying out routine servicing of building services equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. You will also be required to undertake fault diagnosis, respond to call-outs for urgent repairs, and produce accurate reports and certifications in line with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a variety of building systems and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective running of the assigned jobs.
- Systematic and logical sequence of works.
- Carry out reactive and preventative planned maintenance on all M&E plants.
- Provide any required reports/certifications.
- Fill out log books correctly and ensure all log books are on site.
- Carry out routine service inspections and reports working according to a PPM schedule.
- Conducting thorough inspection and testing of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to verify compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Executing remedial works promptly and effectively to address any issues identified during inspections, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborating with colleagues and clients to coordinate project tasks efficiently and communicate findings clearly.
- Documenting all inspection, testing, and maintenance activities accurately and maintaining detailed records of work performed.
Qualifications and Requirements of a Building Services Engineer:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Up-to-date qualifications.
- Experience in both electrical and mechanical M&E systems.
- Qualified in one discipline with good all-round knowledge of all M&E Systems.
- Various PPM duties such as (but not limited to) pump and pressurisation unit servicing.
- Occasional out-of-hours/weekend work will be required.
