Location: London (Mobile with Van)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

My client are looking for a skilled and reliable Pump Engineer to join their team, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of pump systems across commercial and industrial sites throughout London. This is a field-based role requiring strong fault-finding ability, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of pump systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults including leaks, pressure loss, vibration, overheating, and electrical/control issues
  • Remove, overhaul, and reinstall pumps and associated equipment
  • Work on systems such as: Booster sets, Circulation pumps, Sump & sewage pumps, Pressurisation units
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and performance checks
  • Complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with customers and site managers to explain issues and solutions
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures

The Person

  • Proven experience working as a pump engineer, mechanical engineer, or service engineer
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrics
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial pump systems
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile role
  • Full UK driving licence
