Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and 9am to 6pm (Alternate Weeks)
My client are currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to cover a corporate contract in St Pauls.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor you will be working within the engineering maintenance team. You will provide all round engineering support, maintaining the buildings infrastructures. You will have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety / building codes of practice. With the nature of our client's business and continued up time being a priority, means essential maintenance may need to be carried out outside of normal hours and therefore a flexible approach to work is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Close liaison and working relationship with the team & Client
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Ensuring all PPM tasks are carried out on time.
- Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service.
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance.
- Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met.
- Carry out modifications and installations when required.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers and partners.
- Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard.
- Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work.
- Comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Obtain quotes and orders for Materials.
- Carry out stock checks of Materials / parts.
- Ensure all logbooks are completed and up to date.
- Call-out duty is required.
Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 3 in a Mechanical Discipline
- Extensive experience in Mechanical Building Maintenance
- Experience working in a corporate environment
