A 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant is needed in Wellingborough to support a Primary-aged pupil with Autism who is non-verbal. This is a full-time role in a welcoming, supportive Primary school, starting in September.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide:
- Consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC
- Communication support for a non-verbal child (PECS, visuals, gestures)
- Calm, patient and nurturing behaviour support
- Sensory regulation and structured routines
- Close collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO
- Full-time support across the school day
