APT Education is recruiting a caring, patient and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Northampton (NN1) from September. This is a full-time role supporting children in Nursery/Reception, including some pupils who may present with challenging behaviour at times. You’ll be helping children settle, learn and thrive in a nurturing Early Years environment.
The school has a warm, friendly atmosphere with a supportive SLT, engaged parents and a strong Early Years team. If you love working with younger children and enjoy helping them grow in confidence, this EYFS Teaching Assistant role in Northampton NN1 will be a great fit.
About the RoleAs an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Northampton NN1, you will:
- Support children across Nursery and/or Reception
- Assist with phonics, early literacy and early maths
- Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, using calm, consistent strategies
- Help create a nurturing, structured and positive learning environment
- Support play-based learning and outdoor activities
- Work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
