APT Education is recruiting a resilient, patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant in Kettering to work 1:1 with pupils with additional needs at a large, welcoming Primary school. This full-time September start role involves supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, and non-verbal communication needs.

About the Role – SEN Teaching Assistant (Kettering)As a SEN Teaching Assistant in Kettering, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, and non-verbal communication
- Use visuals, routines and calm communication strategies
- Assist with emotional regulation and de-escalation
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SLT
- Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment
This role suits someone confident, nurturing and able to manage challenging behaviour with consistency and care.
What We’re Looking For- Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting pupils with additional needs
- Confidence supporting challenging behaviour
- Experience with Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, or non-verbal pupils
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- A patient, resilient and calm approach
- Valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Highly competitive weekly PAYE pay
- Full-time stability from September
