🏫 About the Role

APT Education is seeking a resilient and compassionate KS2 Behaviour Support Assistant to join a forward-thinking primary school in Birmingham. This full-time role starts in January 2026 and is ideal for someone with a proven track record supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and social-emotional needs.

You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to :

  • Provide 1 : 1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural challenges
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and de‑escalation techniques
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting emotional regulation and respectful relationships
  • Support classroom routines and transitions to reduce anxiety and disruption
  • Liaise with staff and parents to ensure consistent support across settings
