Community Care Worker – Central Bedfordshire

Areas: LU5 & LU6, LU7

FULL TIME DRIVERS with experience in Care only .sponsorship available only for full time staffs.

Full time community care positions available in Dunstable and Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard areas.

Due to the nature of the role and the geographical area, only carers that drive with use of their own vehicle will be considered. Non drivers WILL NOT be considered for this position.

APT Care provide care to the elderly within areas of Central Bedfordshire. With a fantastic team of passionate and professional carers, our staff support people with their everyday routines, enabling them to remain at home for longer; supporting people to sustain their independence.

APT Care are looking for new full time carers to join our Central Bedfordshire community team; supporting elderly clients with their everyday care needs within their own homes.

This job role consists of:

• Assisting vulnerable people (Male and Female) in their own homes with personal care tasks such as: bathing, dressing, toileting and medication support.
• Undertaking household tasks such as domestic assistance, meal preparation, laundry, shopping.
• Supporting with wellbeing, providing companionship and monitoring any deterioration of physical or mental health.
• Ensure clients receive their medication on time
• Support clients who can\’t move on their own
• Assist clients with physical therapy exercises
• Cook meals according to the customer\’s restrictions
• Help customers with their shopping
• Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
• Provide emotional support
• Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Full induction training available with updated refreshers training regularly. Carers have full induction, both theory and manual with ongoing support and the option to complete their NVQ Level 2 and/or Level 3 post probation and will complete the \’Care Certificate\’ upon joining.
