The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We urgently require a contract Infrastructure Engineer to support a client in Kent. The role will include a mix of Project and Support work and needs someone with a flexible attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of technologies.

Required Knowledge/Awareness:

  • Proficiency in Windows 2003-2022 Server environments.
  • High level of knowledge within Azure.
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, VPNs, VLANs.
  • SolarWinds monitoring tool.
  • VMware vSphere, Azure VMWare Solution (AVS) and Hyper-V.
  • Citrix Cloud.
  • Backup - Tivoli, Azure and Veeam.
  • Azure Costs Savings recommendations.
  • DNS & SSL Certificates.
  • Windows Patching/Vulnerabilities.
  • Security Practices.

Tasks:

  • Project work: Building and implementing new servers, working with 3rd parties.
  • Proactively checking the infrastructure call queue in Jira.
  • Providing and keeping documentation updated (Confluence).
  • Working with helpdesk and users on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues quickly and effectively.

The successful candidate must have their own transport and be able to commit to at least two days per week on site in Dover, Kent. The role will fall Inside IR35 and will be offered for an initial two months. Candidates should be eligible for UK Security Clearances and must be available at short notice.
