Job Summary:
The Field Service Engineer performs on-site interventions and ensures the repair and maintenance of equipment and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine or complex diagnostics in collaboration with technical support.
- Establish lists of parts necessary for the work.
- Prepare interventions (parts, consumables, tools, etc.).
- Recommend solutions for restoration to clients (replacement, repair, etc.) and formalise the offer, if necessary, to internal and external stakeholders (sales teams, clients, etc.).
- Conduct a risk analysis before intervention.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance interventions on equipment based on maintenance plans and operational ranges.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment after intervention.
- Understand and use technical documentation (manuals, etc.).
- Perform simple commissioning of equipment.
- Determine the qualification of repair orders (billable, warranty, contract, etc.).
- Configure and calibrate equipment based on client application.
- Indicate opportunities for additional interventions in the business tool.
- Complete various documents and business tools related to operations (intervention reports, hours worked, logbooks, etc.).
- Report daily activities to management (alerts, completed tasks, etc.).
- Occasionally assist in another area (geographic, sector of activity, etc.).
Responsibilities and Autonomy:
- Be responsible for the quality and timeliness of on-site interventions.
- Ensure compliance with the workplace and tools provided (vehicle, tools, etc.).
- Know and strictly apply health and safety rules (personal protective equipment, procedures, lone working, etc.).
- Know and strictly apply the client's risk prevention plan rules.
- Know and strictly apply environmental rules (sorting, anti-contamination, etc.).
- Know and apply internal and external compliance procedures and rules.
- Respect standard times.
- Perform on-call duties as required.
Professional Knowledge:
- Qualifications: Professional Bac to Bac +2 in maintenance, mechanics or electrotechnics preferred or significant experience desired.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth professional knowledge in technical fields (mechanical, electrical, electrotechnical, hydraulic, etc.).
- Professional knowledge of products (ranges, functionalities, etc.).
- General knowledge of health, safety and environmental rules.
- Basic knowledge of IT tools and information systems.
- Intermediate level of English (A2).
