We\βre working with a well-established manufacturing company that\βs looking to hire an Engineering Technical Specialist to join their team on a permanent, full-time day shift (Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week).
This is a hands-on technical role reporting to the Engineering Director, where you\βll manage engineering projects from concept to completion-supporting both new product development and ongoing operational improvements.
You\βll play a key part in driving engineering excellence, liaising with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, while also providing technical advice on machinery maintenance and supporting key business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver engineering projects (Capex & improvement) from start to finish
- Create technical drawings and 3D models using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Solve engineering problems and recommend manufacturing process improvements
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and specifications
- Stay current with emerging engineering technologies and best practices
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical bias preferred)
- Minimum 5 years\β engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge of electrical systems (PLCs, pneumatics, AC/DC drives)
- Experience with problem-solving tools (8D, FMEA)
- Competent with Microsoft Office and MS Project
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working under pressure
Desirable
- Six Sigma or lean manufacturing experience
- Black Belt qualification or Statistical Process Control knowledge
