Applied Services Consultants focus on making our customers successful. We serve as strategic advisors, coaching them to achieve cost management goals. Our customers maximize the impact of their aPriori solution by receiving expert guidance on best practices, advisement, and execution on technical and strategic items. We provide use‑case specific insights to accelerate time to value, advise on key metrics, cut costs, and connect different parts of the organization through data.

Location

Belfast, NI (Hybrid) or Remote UK

Responsibilities

• Develop multiple customer relationships to drive product adoption and results, achieving full business value of the solution.
• Understand strategic elements of the account to ensure solutions support customer business objectives.
• Evaluate customer data, including analysis of large data sets and identification of savings opportunities.
• Coach remote and onsite customers through sourcing strategies and supplier negotiation approaches using aPriori data, interacting with suppliers on behalf of the customer (up to 25% travel).
• Manage the project’s technical and strategic aspects within the sourcing use case, including scoping, execution, solution configuration, user training, and mentoring, focusing on configuring reports tied to customer outcomes and adjusting cost models to reflect manufacturing needs and supplier capabilities.
• Assist in pre‑sales opportunities through remote and onsite cost‑down workshops.
• Act as a strategic advisor to Product Management on the direction of product offerings in the sourcing and design use cases.
• Maintain awareness of aPriori software adoption and utilization trends, driving renewals and capitalizing on expansion opportunities.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both internal and external.
• Technical knowledge of the product and various manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge in product design, manufacturing, cost management, sourcing, supplier negotiation, and design‑to‑cost.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple accounts.
• Project management skills, including planning, risk management, and status updates.
• Strong consulting skill set, ability to respond effectively to objectives and high‑stress situations, and guide the customer to the best supported solution.

Education and Experience

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Recommended minimum experience: 7 years total technical experience; engineering background preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise using the aPriori software in the sourcing and design use case to enhance customer value.
• Demonstrated success working on project teams with a record of high customer adoption and satisfaction.
• Experience with full procurement transformation, including sourcing, process development, organizational change, and business process review (highly desired).
• Experienced in supplier negotiations and/or hands‑on design experience.
