We are working with a reputable client based in Ashford (TN24) who require a Solar Panel Installer to join their team. The position is a permanent role paying £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE).

Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 7.00am - 5.00pm

Holidays: 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) (Company vehicle + fuel card provided)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install solar panels safely on rooftops in line with project requirements and safety regulations.
  • Inspect, clean, and prepare roof surfaces, carrying out minor repairs where needed prior to installation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to mount panels and associated components securely.
  • Support the assembly and wiring of electrical components for solar energy systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Perform on-site checks during installation to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety guidelines at all times.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in roofing, electrical work, or mechanical installation is preferred.
  • Competence with hand tools / power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with basic electrical knowledge is highly valued.
  • Welding experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Good understanding of safety practices for working at heights and with electrical systems.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and handling materials safely.
  • Relevant roofing or electrical certifications/licences are desirable but not required.
