We are working with a reputable client based in Leeds (LS9) who require a Production Supervisor to join their team. The position is a permanent role paying £34,000 - 36,000 per annum (DOE) Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Day Shift) 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Key Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise day-to-day shop floor production in an engineering/fabrication environment. * Allocate work and manage production priorities to meet customer deadlines and OTIF targets. * Monitor quality, output, materials, waste and workflow, resolving issues early. * Ensure work is completed safely, accurately and to drawings, specifications and quality standards. * Maintain production schedules, SOPs, work instructions and safe working practices. * Manage shop floor standards, attendance and performance, escalating issues where required. * Support training, development and cross-training of the production team. * Work closely with Maintenance, Estimating, CAD/CAM, Procurement and Quality teams. * Communicate production priorities, risks and progress to the Head of Operations and wider team. Key Requirements: * Experience supervising production within an engineering, fabrication or workshop environment. * Strong practical, hands-on approach with a genuine shop floor presence. * Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and BOMs. * Good understanding of production planning, workflow and quality control. * Strong problem-solving and organisational skills. * Good knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices. * Confident communicator with the ability to lead and motivate a team. * Able to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to production issues. * Experience working with bespoke and repeat manufacturing would be advantageous.
