Specialist business developing NextGen radar and communications components and sub-systems is looking for a Project Manager on a fixed term contract of 12 months. You will be project managing new product development contracts in the Aerospace & Defence sector.

A fast paced and hands on project management role. About 20% of the day is communicating with customers, 50% will be progress chasing around the engineering teams, 10% will be internal reporting activities and 20% updating cost trackers, managing budgets etc. You will be managing product development / NPI contracts up to the prototype point, typically ranging in value from £1 - £3 million.

Essential Requirements of the Project Manager
  • Good customer facing experience.
  • Previous experience project managing complex engineering product developments of an electronics nature - typically the developments are fairly complex covering physics, electronics, electro-mechanical etc.
  • You will have previously project managed in an Aerospace or Defence type environment.
  • NPD / NPI / product development experience, you will be very hands on supporting the design up to prototype prior to manufacturing.
  • Willing to work on site near Milton Keynes on a hybrid basis (3 days per week in the office).
  • Have current ILR having been resident in the UK for the last 5 years and able to secure SC security clearance.
Desirable Requirements of the Project Manager
  • Previous experience with RF component or sub systems would be ideal.
  • Experience with complex microelectronics.
