Info about what the Production Manager involves:

Low volume, high variation designer and manufacturer of industrial safety systems. As the Production Manager reporting to senior management you will be managing the production on this cutting edge assembly facility. With a focus on safety, quality, inventory, delivery & production you will be responsible for teams hitting targets shipping some 800 products per month.

Essential Requirements of the Production Manager:

  • Degree or time-served or vocational engineering / manufacturing qualification.
  • Excellent people management skills to mentor / develop the team - able to motivate, assertive, team development with good independent decision making skills.
  • Take ownership of the team, enabling high levels of engagement from the team and challenging the team where necessary.
  • Experience in a manufacturing / production environment, targets, KPIs to hit, getting stuff out the door.
  • Exposed to lean techniques, 5s in the cells, Gember walks, follow lean principles etc.

Desirable Requirements of the Production Manager:

  • Experienced in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
