This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a large and varied sales territory covering the Midlands and South of England.
Working from home and out in the field, you will become the company’s key point of contact for customers across the region, with the freedom to plan your own diary and develop the territory effectively.

You will build relationships with machinery manufacturers, system integrators, resellers and end users, spending time on-site to understand their equipment, challenges and future projects.
Using a consultative approach, you will identify suitable solutions, deliver practical product demonstrations and help customers improve the safe and efficient control of their machinery.
Rather than relying on high-volume cold calling, you will focus on developing meaningful opportunities through existing relationships, incoming enquiries, exhibition leads and targeted prospecting.
You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries and applications, ensuring that no two customer conversations are quite the same.
With the support of an experienced UK sales and technical team, you will receive comprehensive product training and practical field-based mentoring.
You will also represent the business at trade shows and exhibitions, gather valuable market insight and play an important part in increasing the company’s presence across the region.
Essential Requirements of a Field Sales Engineer
- Experience within an engineering, industrial machinery or technical-product environment.
- A background in electrical/electronic engineering, hydraulics, automation, PLCs, controls, electromechanical or mechanical engineering.
- Previous customer-facing experience within technical sales, applications engineering, account management or field service.
- The ability to understand customer applications and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with engineers and commercial decision-makers.
- A consultative approach to developing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
- The self-motivation and organisational skills to manage your own diary and geographical territory.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Midlands and South of England.
