Company: A global leader in high-quality, safety-critical products is looking for a Project Specification & Solution Manager to join their expanding team.
What the Project Specification & Solution Manager involves
- Develop and grow a pipeline of specification opportunities by building relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, end users and indirect customers.
- Generate new business by identifying project opportunities, creating solution proposals and securing Apollo products into project specifications.
- Deliver technical presentations, CPDs, webinars and industry events to educate customers on Apollo's products and strengthen brand awareness.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor by providing market insight, supporting product development and advising on solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to share market intelligence, develop customer engagement strategies and convert opportunities into sales.
- Manage the full project pursuit process by maintaining CRM records, tracking opportunities through the sales cycle and ensuring an accurate, high-quality project pipeline.
Requirements of the Project Specification & Solutions
Manager
- Proven experience in business development or specification sales within the fire detection, fire alarm or wider building services industry, with a track record of generating new project opportunities.
- Strong technical understanding of fire alarm systems, including BS EN standards, BS5839 and fire system design principles, with the ability to provide expert technical guidance.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence architects, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
- Commercially minded and self-motivated, with strong strategic thinking, problem-solving ability and the confidence to work autonomously while managing a project pipeline through CRM systems.
- Ideally holds relevant industry qualifications or memberships (e. g.
MIET, IFE, IFSM or FIA training), although these are desirable rather than essential.
