Join an innovative controls and automation company in Sheffield, delivering projects across Power & Energy, Water Treatment, Rail, Industrial Machinery and Automotive. This is an opportunity to broaden your experience across multiple industries, working on control systems from initial concept through to commissioning. The role * Develop and modify PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal / STEP 7 and/or Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 / RSLogix. * Design and configure HMI and SCADA applications. * Support control system design, integration and testing across a varied project portfolio. * Carry out fault finding, commissioning and system optimisation. * Work closely with customers and engineering teams to deliver reliable automation solutions. * Support FAT and SAT activities and produce technical documentation. What you’ll bring * Experience in a Controls, Automation or PLC Engineering role. * Strong programming skills with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLCs. * An understanding of industrial control systems, electrical drawings and communications networks. * A practical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving. * Confidence working independently and as part of a project team. Experience in any of the sectors above would be valuable, with transferable controls and automation skills welcomed
