A growing manufacturing business in Bradford is looking for a hands-on Quality Manager to help drive the next stage of its quality and operational development. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer looking to step into a broader leadership role with real ownership, visibility, and progression potential. Rather than simply maintaining compliance, this role is focused on embedded quality throughout the manufacturing and product lifecycle, improving process, driving continuous improvement, and helping build a proactive quality culture across the business.
You'll work closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and leadership teams to improve process capability, reduce defects, strengthen quality systems, and ensure quality is built into operations from the outset.
What the Quality Manager role entails:
- Lead day-to-day quality and compliance activities across manufacturing operations
- Drive process improvement, defect reduction, and root cause analysis activities
- Support and develop the company’s QMS and compliance systems
- Lead internal audits, CAPA activities, and non-conformance investigations
- Work closely with production teams to embed proactive quality ownership
- Support supplier quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Help shape the future direction of the quality function as the business continues to grow
Essential Requirements of the Quality Manager:
- Experience within a manufacturing quality environment
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 and quality systems
- Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams and influencing change
Desirable Requirements of the Quality Manager:
- ISO14001 exposure
- Electronics, PCB, or engineering manufacturing experience
- Lean / Six Sigma understanding
