The client is a leading supplier of complex components and systems to some of the world's largest Aerospace OEMs with specific expertise in heat treatment, welding, chemical processing, Laser and NDT. With a brand new facility including a fully automated chemical process line, we are seeking a specialist process engineer to join the team.
As a Process Engineer in Chemical Process, you will be working in a team with 3 Quality Engineers, 2 First Article Inspectors, and 1 Mechanical Process Engineer. You will be supporting the control, compliance, and improvement of special processes across the business. Typical tasks will include creating data sheets, reviewing specifications, reviewing certificates of conformity (CoCs) from suppliers, test report reviews, and supporting AS9100 audits.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week. Core hours are 9am until 4pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am until 2pm Friday. Flex start & finish times, with an early finish on a Friday.
Essential Requirements:
- A chemical process background and 2+ years industry experience outside of academia/research.
- Experience in the aerospace sector within an AS9100 environment.
- Knowledge of NADCAP requirements with experience in supporting audits.
Desirable Requirements:
- Chemical engineering degree.
- Chemical processing lines experience.
