Join an innovative engineering team developing safety-critical technology & equipment used around the world and help ensure that new and existing products perform safely, reliably and consistently in the field.
Working across hardware, software, mechanical design, certification and project management, you will take products from requirements through to robust, evidence-backed sign-off.
The team is advancing sensor technology, machine learning, Io T connectivity, integrated manufacturing and full-stack software solutions.
The role Write clear, traceable test specifications, protocols and reports.
Functional, environmental, EMC, ingress-protection, mechanical and life testing across hardware, firmware and mechanical assemblies.
Analyse results, report product readiness, raise and track defects, and work with engineering teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Design and maintain test rigs, fixtures and jigs for development and production testing.
Develop automated test methods and scripts, including Python where appropriate, to improve test coverage and repeatability.
Maintain calibration and measurement traceability for test equipment.
Support certification, pre-compliance testing, engineering changes, component substitutions, production investigations and field-return analysis.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready test records and support junior team members.
What you will bring Three or more years experience in a test, verification or validation role within electronics or instrumentation.
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, data loggers and environmental chambers.
Experience creating and executing structured test plans, fault-finding at product/system level, and communicating results clearly.
Strong data-analysis skills and a methodical, safety-focused approach.
Desirable experience Regulated, safety-related or gas-detection instrumentation.
Python automation and interfaces such as Modbus RTU/BLE, USB or serial.
EMC, IEC 60068 environmental, ingress-protection or IEC 61508/SIL testing.
Embedded systems, firmware, Io T/wireless connectivity, requirements traceability, defect tracking or ISO 9001.
