They are currently expanding their production engineering team and are looking for a Line Support Technician with strong fault-finding experience to support manufacturing operations and product reliability.
This is a hands-on role centred around keeping production running smoothly by resolving technical issues as they arise. You will act as the first point of contact for faults on the line, diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies down to component level while investigating recurring issues to identify root causes and prevent repeat failures. Alongside this, you will support and maintain production test and assembly equipment to minimise downtime, while using production data to spot trends and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency. You will also play a part in introducing new products into manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition into production, and will document your findings through clear technical reports outlining faults and corrective actions.
Essential Requirements of a Line Support Technician:
- Experience in an electronics manufacturing, test or repair environment
- Strong fault-finding skills to component level
- Ability to read schematics, circuit diagrams and technical documentation
- Good understanding of production test equipment and processes
- Hands-on experience with soldering and rework
Desirable Requirements of a Line Support Technician:
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO9001 or similar)
