As the Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct materials are ordered and delivered in line with production schedules. You will manage supplier order books end-to-end, ensuring they support production, business, and inventory plans, while also monitoring and driving supplier performance to meet agreed targets.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the end-to-end management of the order book process for assigned categories and suppliers.
- Using the ERP system to release and manage purchase orders in line with demand plans.
- Managing and actioning call-off and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) orders.
- Ensuring all purchase orders are acknowledged within required timeframes and proactively expediting late deliveries with underperforming suppliers.
- Actioning order movement and cancellation messages in a timely manner to maintain supply continuity.
- Maintaining accurate open order book alignment between supplier schedules and the ERP system, while supporting level loading of purchase orders.
