My client is looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician with a strong emphasis on electrical controls and instrumentation. You will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems on various sites across the UK. This role requires a blend of electrical and instrumentation expertise, with a foundational understanding of mechanical systems.
The role will involve but not be limited to:
- Installation, calibration, and maintenance of various instrumentation equipment (e.g., laser flows, Siemens equipment, etc.).
- Electrical control system setup and troubleshooting.
- Fault finding and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Basic mechanical tasks, such as disconnecting electric motors and working with flow meters.
- Travel to sites across the UK, with overnight stays as required.
- Adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings and schematics.
Requirements of the EC&I Technician:
- Holds an ONC/HNC in engineering (or equivalent), NVQ or C&G Level 3 Electrical.
- 18th Edition.
- Background in water, pharmaceutical, petrochemical sectors preferred.
- Able to calibrate instrumentation.
- Knowledge of electrical control systems.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Valid UK driving license - we will supply you with a company van and fuel card.
