An innovative, established technology manufacturer developing specialist high-performance systems for a range of global industrial and technology markets.
Management role leading the Export & Sales Administration function, with responsibility for developing the team and ensuring customer orders, domestic and international shipments, service/repair activity and associated administration are handled accurately and efficiently. The role requires strong practical knowledge of export documentation, customs, export controls, licences and international shipping, alongside commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with Commercial, Production, Purchasing, Finance and Quality. It also has a strong customer-service focus, dealing with order and shipment queries, while taking ownership of export/compliance issues and ensuring they are followed through to resolution.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven people management experience - experienced developing teams, performance management ideally within Export, International Trade, Sales Administration or a similar operational environment.
- Good customer facing experience - including order processing, shipment queries and service levels.
- Commercially aware - Strong stakeholder management skills across functions such as Commercial, Production, Purchasing, Finance and Quality.
- Strong practical Export / International Trade experience, with sufficient technical depth to lead the function and support experienced coordinators.
- Good working knowledge of export documentation, customs processes, export controls, licenses and international shipping requirements.
- Strong ownership and follow through, with a track record of taking responsibility for issues and seeing them through to resolution, project delivery etc.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience leading admin & export teams in a manufacturing / high technical environment.
