Overview
Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Registered Care Home Manager in the L5 Anfield Liverpool area.
This is an initial 12-week contract with potential for permanent work.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Registered Manager of an integrated Health and Social Care EMI Nursing Home, providing strategic and operational leadership to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Lead and develop staff teams, oversee the delivery of residential and nursing care services, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards.
- Collaborate with health and social care partners to coordinate integrated services, support discharge-to-assess pathways, and promote positive resident outcomes through partnerships with GPs, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
- Manage staff performance, support workforce development through coaching and mentoring, and ensure services achieve agreed performance targets and objectives.
- Ensure services operate in accordance with National Minimum Care Standards, Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) requirements, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, maintaining safe, effective, and responsive services.
- Work on a rota basis including evenings, weekends and bank holidays with appropriate allowances.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge
- Experience of working as a Registered Manager in a residential care home for older people.
- Experience of managing staff, budgets and operations.
- Experience of safeguarding through actions and behaviours.
- Experience of using quality assurance monitoring systems.
- Experience of proactively managing the health and safety of others.
- Experience of partnership working and developing and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience of presenting information and reports and representing services at internal and external meetings.
- Knowledge of CQC requirements and legislation relating to delivery of residential care and experience implementing these.
- Knowledge of best practice in person-centred approaches and in supporting older people with dementia.
- Sound ICT skills including Microsoft applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care/Health & Social Care or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Enhanced DBS check including barred list.
- No sponsorship requirement.
- The postholder is required to participate in the manager\'s out-of-hours on-call rota.
