Apricus Resourcing is partnering with a social enterprise provider to recruit a Tenancy Sustainment Officer for a contract role based within one of their services in Stoke. The position is located within the tenancy team, which supports the wider housing services. The Officer will work towards corporate aims and targets, coordinating tenancy management and rent collection to ensure all income is received.

Key Duties

  • Efficiently turn over void properties to ensure quick re-let, including pre‑let and post‑let checks, repairs, and replacements.
  • Ensure supported accommodation is available in line with local Key Performance Indicators.
  • Oversee basic cleaning and room turnaround tasks when necessary.
  • Support and empower residents to maintain cleanliness of communal and personal spaces in line with their tenancy/license agreement.
  • Maintain high standards of properties, monitoring for damage, abandonment, or misuse.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Gas Safety checks and that residents are aware of their obligations.
  • Provide accommodation furnishings and Welcome Packs for new lets.
  • Order replacement furniture, maintain inventory, and agree the condition of accommodation at re‑let and departure.

Other Key Experience

  • Knowledge and practice in housing and tenancy management in relation to statutory obligations.
  • Track record in effective tenancy management, particularly voids and arrears management.
  • Understanding of Housing Benefit regulations and welfare reform.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, with strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage risk effectively.

The position is an ongoing contract of 37.5 hours per week, initially for a 6‑week period with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent employment. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
