Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charity who are looking for a recovery worker for an ongoing agency position based in Dudley. As a recovery worker in this service you will be holding group sessions to service users informing them of the various risks of drugs including crack cocaine & heroin, the manager is looking for candidates who have a clear track record of holding group sessions. The service offer a number of services including naxolone, overdose prevention centres, opioid substitutes, 1-2-1’s & much more. The services main aim is to help service users across the region who are suffering with substance misuse issues. The role available is varied so you will be working with families as a whole, taking a holistic view to the recovery strategy offered to those coming to the service. You will be training to deliver MPACT and will be supported to deliver a range of group and 1-2-1 support. As a Key worker within this role you will be working with a caseload of up to 20 clients who are mainly suffering with alcohol issues, however there will be a handful who may also be suffering with both alcohol & drug problems. You will be working within a wider team to offer service users various methods of support to aid their recovery which may include structured treatments/recovery plans, advice around harm reduction methods, group & 1-2-1 support services and meetings, interventions & other techniques.
