Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Registered Care Home Manager position in L5 post code area Anfield Liverpool. This is for an initial 12 weeks contract with additional further permanent working highly welcomed. This role is full time with primary hours Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, however there is scope for flexibility here so applicants who only wish to work fewer days are still encouraged to apply if they can do at least 3 days a week.

Main responsibilities:

  • The post holder will act as the Registered Manager of an integrated Health and Social Care EMI Nursing Home, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
  • The role is responsible for leading and developing staff teams, overseeing the effective delivery of residential and nursing care services, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and professional standards.
  • Working collaboratively with health and social care partners, the post holder will coordinate the delivery of integrated services, support discharge-to-assess pathways, and promote positive outcomes for residents through effective partnership working with GPs, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • The role includes responsibility for managing staff performance, supporting workforce development through coaching and mentoring, and ensuring services achieve agreed performance targets and objectives.
  • The post holder will also ensure that services operate in accordance with National Minimum Care Standards, Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) requirements, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, maintaining safe, effective, and responsive services that meet the needs of residents and local communities.
  • The post holder will be required to work on a rota basis which will include evenings/weekends and bank holidays and receive the appropriate allowances.

Experience/skills/knowledge:

  • Experience of working as a Registered Manager in a residential care home for older people.
  • Experience of managing staff, budgets and operations.
  • Experience of supporting and promoting safeguarding through actions and behaviours.
  • Experience of using quality assurance monitoring systems.
  • Experience of proactively managing the health and safety of others.
  • Experience of partnership working and of developing and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience of presenting information and reports and of representing services at internal and external meetings.
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements and of legislation relating to the delivery of residential care and experience of implementing these.
  • Knowledge of best practice in regards to person centred approaches.
  • Knowledge of best practice in supporting older people with dementia.
  • Sound ICT skills including the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care/Health & Social Care or equivalent relevant qualification.

The postholder is required to take part in manager's out of hours on-call rota. Enhanced DBS check including barred list. No sponsorship requirement.
