- Location: London: hybrid working with a min. of 1 to 2 days per month in office
This role has one non-negotiable: you've actually done it. Not read about it, not advised on it, not sat in a workshop and drawn boxes. You've actually led domain discovery with real business stakeholders, defined bounded contexts that made sense of a messy domain, and delivered microservice architectures where the boundaries came from the business, not the tech.

About you:
- Deep, hands-on DDD: strategic and tactical patterns applied to complex systems in production. Not theory, not advisory. Done it.
- Domain discovery leadership: Event Storming, domain storytelling, or equivalent. You drive the room, you don't just facilitate it
- End-to-end architectural ownership: ADRs, C4, defending decisions confidently at senior stakeholder level
- Java / Spring Boot as your core: TypeScript / React alongside it. Close enough to the code to be credible with engineers
- A consulting mindset: you translate messy business problems into clean, scalable technical solutions
- A genuine track record of raising the bar: mentoring engineers, leaving teams and codebases better than you found them
