To continue our growth trajectory, we’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to join the team and work closely with our Hiring Managers and People Operations team to find exceptional talent for Appvia.

About the role:

  • Be responsible for the full recruitment cycle from liaising with line managers about vacancies through to a new starter’s first day, specifically; writing job descriptions, identifying and sourcing candidates, interviewing, providing feedback, and making offers.
  • Work closely with People Operations to create a seamless and knowledgeable onboarding process for new hires.
  • Use platforms to reach and manage talent acquisition such as Workable, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and manage Appvia's Careers page.
  • Own, refine and iterate hiring processes and recruitment documentation, in line with the key areas of law surrounding recruitment and selection.
  • Work with our marketing team to promote Appvia’s employer brand at community building events, including running/attending university campus hiring days, meetups and the wider startup ecosystem.
  • Measure key metrics and competencies to be able to deliver data driven insight to the leadership team.
  • Run assessment centres if/as required.
  • Minimise the need to work with external recruitment agencies, but develop relationships with key suppliers, should the need arise.
  • Benchmark salaries/packages against the rest of the industry.
  • Be a strong brand ambassador.

About you:

  • Experience of working with internal stakeholders to manage hiring requirements in a similar industry/stage of company.
  • Experience in applicant tracking systems such as Workable.
  • Experience in an in-house or agency recruitment role.
  • Experience of working through the full recruitment cycle.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent research and sourcing skills, using a variety of sourcing methods.
  • Proven experience of managing multiple roles at one time.
  • Proven track record of building talent pipelines on challenging and competitive roles.
  • Understanding of open source technologies and the ecosystem surrounding them.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies.
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to prioritise accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Driven, self-motivated and results orientated.
  • Ability to form and maintain key relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the legalities surrounding recruitment and selection.
