About The Role
We are looking for a mid‑level Azure Cloud Engineer to join our growing Azure practice. This role sits between traditional cloud engineering, SRE and platform engineering, supporting the reliability, automation, and day‑to‑day operation of modern Azure platforms. You will work closely with senior platform engineers to help maintain and improve cloud environments, automate infrastructure, and support development teams operating on Azure. A core focus of the role will be working with Terraform and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), helping ensure platforms remain stable, secure and scalable while contributing to continuous improvements in automation and delivery. This role is designed as a growth pathway into Platform Engineering, giving you the opportunity to develop deeper expertise in infrastructure automation, Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices while working alongside experienced consultants and engineers.

About you
You are an engineer who enjoys solving infrastructure and reliability challenges while continuously improving automation and operational practices. You will likely bring:
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools
- Experience with containerisation and AKS
- An interest in DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud automation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams
You are curious, pragmatic, and motivated to develop into a more senior platform engineering role over time.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation and reliability of Azure‑based cloud platforms
- Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Azure‑native tooling
- Assist with managing and improving AKS clusters and containerised workloads
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation that improve delivery workflows
- Support development teams onboarding applications onto Azure platforms
- Monitor cloud environments and respond to operational issues or improvements
- Collaborate with platform engineers to improve platform architecture and resilience
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the Azure practice
Skills & Experience
- Cloud Engineering – Experience working with Azure services and cloud infrastructure
- Infrastructure as Code – Hands‑on exposure to tools such as Terraform and Bicep
- Containerisation – Experience with containerised workloads and orchestration platforms such as AKS and Kubernetes
- DevOps Practices – Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation
- Problem Solving – Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues in complex environments
- Collaboration – Comfortable working within engineering teams and communicating technical ideas clearly
Qualifications
Certification in relevant cloud technologies at an associate level is highly desirable, e.g.:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
Certification in Kubernetes or Terraform administration is desirable:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Terraform Associate
