We are recruiting a highly motivated, HCPC registered podiatrist to join our dynamic, supportive podiatry team as a bank member of staff at Surbiton Health Centre. The role offers the opportunity to develop clinical skills in various podiatry specialisms while maintaining a flexible working pattern. The position is band 6, with NHS pay and benefits, and is ideal for professionals who want to contribute to high‑quality podiatry service without a full‑time commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality, evidence‑based podiatric care to patients with a range of foot health needs.
  • Manage a complex caseload independently, including high‑risk foot care, wound management, biomechanical assessments and nail surgery.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and with other healthcare professionals.
  • Support service development and clinical audit.
  • Supervise, train and mentor band 5 staff and students.

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) in Podiatry (or equivalent).
  • Local Anaesthesia certificate.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with high‑risk patients, including diabetes.
  • Experience of NHS podiatry and domiciliary care.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Valid driving licence and access to vehicle for work purposes.

  • High‑level physical skills, precision hand‑eye coordination for prolonged periods.
  • Proficiency in nail surgery, health promotion, and biomechanical assessment.
  • Effective communication and ability to maintain professional records.
  • Aware of clinical governance and health & safety regulations.
  • IT skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
