We are looking for a Mid‑Level Designer to support the design function during the maternity leave period of the Head of Design. This role will ensure continuity of core marketing and web design tasks, maintain brand quality, and help deliver ongoing campaigns and website‑related initiatives. The Mid‑Level Designer will work alongside one Junior/Mid‑Level designer currently in the team and collaborate closely with a freelance HubSpot front‑end developer for implementation. The design team’s workload is organized and monitored in ClickUp, and the candidate is expected to follow established processes, maintain clear task structures, and support efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Design Execution & Quality: Create high‑quality marketing visuals across channels (paid campaigns, web, email, social, events). Ensure consistency with ApprovalMax brand guidelines. Produce assets for product marketing, demand generation, and sales enablement. Design and update landing pages, visuals, and Figma components as part of ongoing web improvements. Prepare clear, web‑ready designs for development. Work closely with the freelance HubSpot front‑end developer to support page‑building and implementation accuracy. Conduct basic checks of HubSpot page builds to ensure visual consistency and report issues when needed. Contribute to tasks related to the ongoing website redesign project.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate frequently with the other Mid‑Level designers to balance daily workloads and ensure smooth delivery. Provide peer‑level feedback and collaborate on shared tasks to maintain quality and consistency. Communicate progress, blockers, and needs directly to the CMO for alignment and prioritisation. Work collaboratively with Digital Marketing, Content, Events, and Product Marketing to support campaign asset needs. Ensure deliverables align with marketing goals such as performance optimisation, trial acquisition, and website improvements.
- Video & Motion (Basic): Produce simple video edits (cutdowns, subtitles, light adjustments). Motion design skills and tools are a plus. Prepare briefs and assets for a freelance motion designer when advanced animation is required. Support review cycles and ensure timely delivery of motion assets.
- Design System & Workflow: Use and update the marketing design system in Figma under guidance from existing system rules. Apply reusable components, templates, and best practices to maintain consistency. Produce and update templates for the wider team use.
- Workflow Continuity in ClickUp: Maintain task organisation in ClickUp: update statuses, deadlines, and priorities to ensure clarity and visibility. Manage incoming requests. Allocate tasks between design and development. The Mid‑Level designer will follow the existing process to ensure workflow stability and prevent operational gaps.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Marketing Designer, Visual Designer, or Mid‑Level Designer in a SaaS environment.
- Solid portfolio demonstrating marketing, web, and visual design work.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, Canva; basic video editing required.
- Familiarity with task management systems (ClickUp experience is a plus).
- Comfortable collaborating with developers; HubSpot experience is an advantage.
- Ability to manage individual workloads, follow established processes, and deliver reliably in a fast‑paced marketing team.
