About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction business, supporting the delivery of a residential scheme in Bridlington. This role will see you take the commercial lead on a development comprising 54 affordable housing units alongside an extra care apartment block. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to oversee multiple aspects of cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial support to site and project managers, ensuring that projects remain financially controlled and commercially viable.
- Monitor and update project costs, reviewing monthly financial forecasts against actual spend, and identifying any variances.
- Manage subcontractor procurement from inception through to final account, including tendering, negotiation, and preparation of contract documentation.
- Value, certify, and approve subcontractor payments, ensuring all external valuations are prepared and submitted in line with contractual requirements.
- Manage and forecast project valuations through to final account agreement with clients, while maintaining clear and consistent reporting.
