Approach Personnel are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for a reputable client based in Walsall for a project slated to last up-to 3 years. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring the safe receipt, storage and distribution of goods whilst maintaining high standards of efficiency, customer service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
  • Lead, motivate and develop warehouse teams to achieve operational targets.
  • Ensure stock accuracy and maintain the security and integrity of warehouse products.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, food safety and company procedures at all times.
  • Support recruitment, training and performance management of warehouse employees.

Role Requirements:

  • Data Analytics: Ability to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as order pick accuracy, inventory turnover, and dock-to-stock time.

  • Team Leadership: Proven capability to recruit, train, schedule, and motivate diverse shifts of warehouse floor staff.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to quickly manage and resolve workplace disputes under high-stress peak seasons.
  • Clear Communication: Skill in translating corporate logistics goals into clear daily instructions for warehouse operators.
  • Change Management: Capacity to smoothly guide the team through technological upgrades or layout reorganizations.
