Location: BD21, Bradford
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with an early finish on a Friday.
Role Purpose: The Management Accountant will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while providing valuable commercial insight to support business decisions. Working closely with teams across the business, the role will manage key accounting processes, monitor financial performance and help improve controls, processes and overall business efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Complete accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage weekly supplier payments and bank reconciliations
- Check weekly payroll and complete monthly payroll reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Monitor cash flow, budgets and forecasts
- Calculate landed costs and assist with stock reporting
- Work with Sales, Production and Purchasing teams to support business performance
- Review financial data and provide useful information to management
- Assist with year-end accounts and help improve finance processes
Skills Required:
- Previous experience as a Management Accountant
- AAT Level 4 qualified, studying towards CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience
- Experience preparing management accounts
- Good Excel skills
- Experience using Sage or similar accounting software
- Previous payroll experience
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Good attention to detail
