Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for an experienced Construction Foreman to oversee firestopping works, with a strong focus on sprinkler installations, on projects based in Swansea. This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone who knows fire protection inside out and can confidently manage operatives, quality, and programme on site.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising firestopping works with particular emphasis on sprinkler penetrations
- Managing day-to-day site activity and coordinating labour
- Ensuring works are completed to spec, drawings, and fire safety regulations
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Carrying out quality checks and maintaining high standards of compliance
- Driving productivity while maintaining health & safety at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Foreman / Supervisor within firestopping or fire protection
- Strong knowledge of sprinkler systems and associated firestopping
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS card
- Strong communication and leadership skills
