Senior EcologistApproach Personnel are proud to be working with a reputable ecological consultancy who are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join them on their Greater London and Surrounding Areas projects.The schedule for this role is very flexible. During survey season, you will be based on site 2/3 days a week, and have the option of spending the rest either working from home remotely, or in the office. If you choose to work from home, it is preferred that you visit the office once a month. Any overtime that is worked will be renumerated with time in lieu.

Day to Day:Plan and manage ecological surveys and mitigation strategies from start to finishConduct Phase 1/UK Habs habitat surveys and assess habitats for notable or protected speciesPerform Phase 2 surveys for legally protected speciesDeliver high-quality ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact AssessmentsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior team membersLiaise effectively with clients, contractors, statutory consultees, and the publicMaintain and build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholdersAbout You:Essential:BSc or BEng in relevant field e.g. Ecology, Environmental Science, etc.4+ years of experience in a similar role, with at least some experience within a consultancyMember of the CIEEMProven knowledge of CIEEM guidelinesExperience advising on BNG and BREEAMCommercial awareness and experience managing clientsFull UK Driving LicenseAdvantageous:
