Approach Personnel are thrilled to be supporting a renowned Energy Contractor to source an experienced Contracts Manager based on their distribution and connection packages. This role centres around helping to deliver holistic solutions in the energy sector, overseeing the entire lifecycle of each project.
The Role:
- This is a full time, permanent position based in the East of England both on site and in office/hybrid.
- Lead and drive growth within the cabling project workstream, collaborating closely with clients.
- Support and guide the project delivery team, acting as the key company representative in client meetings.
- Provide commercial and programme management support to ensure projects progress smoothly.
- Monitor project milestones, contribute to governance, and assist with scoping, pricing, and scheduling.
- Ensure all activities comply with company procedures, legislation, and encourage innovative, cost-effective approaches.
- Collaborate with the estimating team throughout tendering processes.
About You:
- Over 5 years’ experience managing large capital delivery programmes.
- Strong understanding of engineering policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent decision-making, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and build strong client relationships.
- Experience developing processes to improve outcomes and measure success.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Solid commercial awareness.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
- Preferably, experience in HV power engineering or cabling, with an HNC/Degree in Engineering or NEBOSH Safety Management qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driver’s licence, as travel within the region will be required.
