Approach Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a traditional build housing development in Chesterfield. This is a front-end focused role on a live residential scheme consisting of 15 plots, with 6 already roofed. The project is traditional construction (not timber frame) and includes brickwork, scaffold, and roofing packages progressing on site.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in early-stage and front-end site management, ideally within residential developments, and confident overseeing brickwork, scaffold, and roofing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations across a traditional build housing scheme
  • Oversee subcontractors across brickwork, scaffold, and roofing packages
  • Coordinate site activities across multiple plots and ensure smooth workflow between trades
  • Ensure safe systems of work for scaffold erection, inspection, and ongoing use
  • Oversee roofing works including sequencing, safety compliance, and quality control
  • Manage brickwork progress and ensure build quality and programme alignment
  • Maintain strict Health & Safety standards including inductions, RAMS, and site compliance
  • Monitor progress across all plots and drive programme delivery
  • Carry out quality inspections, snagging, and handover preparation
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
Essential Requirements
  • Valid SMSTS certification
  • Valid First Aid at Work (FAW)
  • Valid CSCS Card (Black card preferred)
  • Scaffold Inspection Ticket (essential)
  • Proven experience in traditional build residential schemes
  • Strong front-end site management experience
  • Confident managing brickwork, scaffold, and roofing packages
