Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established main contractor with a strong track record delivering complex refurbishment and fit-out projects across the healthcare sector. Due to an increase in workload, they are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their project team on a live healthcare refurbishment scheme in Lincolnshire.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Site Manager and Project Manager, the successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day management of site activities, including but not limited to:
- Supporting the Site Manager with the coordination of trades and subcontractors on site.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and site procedures.
- Monitoring site progress against programme, ensuring works are completed to specification and within agreed timescales.
- Assisting with site documentation, RAMS, permits, and daily reports.
- Liaising with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders as required.
- Ensuring site logistics and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Supporting snagging, quality inspections, and handover processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Site Coordinator on refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Experience within the healthcare sector (NHS or private medical environments) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working in live environments with strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small site team.
