We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in precision cutting tool solutions, supporting key manufacturing sectors including aerospace, medical, oil & gas, and automotive. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Application Engineer looking to move into sales, or an existing Sales Engineer with a hands-on machining background, to develop a rewarding commercial career.
The Role
Based in Northern Ireland, you will be responsible for managing and growing business across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and growing sales within existing manufacturing customers
- Identifying and winning new business opportunities across your territory
- Providing technical advice and application support on machining and cutting tool solutions
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships
- Managing your sales pipeline and delivering against targets
- Implementing strategic plans to increase market share
The Ideal Candidate
- A background as an Application Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Programmer, or similar
- A desire to move into sales, or early experience in a technical sales role
- Location requirement: Must be based in Northern Ireland with willingness to travel across the island of Ireland.
- Strong knowledge of metal cutting, machining, and CNC processes
- Experience in sectors such as aerospace, medical, automotive, or precision engineering
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage your own territory
