A rapidly growing international tech company in the smart delivery solutions space is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their UK team. After recent successful hires in operations and technical roles, the company is expanding further and looking for a hands-on, proactive professional to support its UK launch phase.
About the Role
This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel across sites in Bristol. Initially, you’ll work from home while operations are being set up, with the role shifting to a hybrid model once the company establishes its UK base. You will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, repair, and technical reliability of smart locker systems, supporting both installation and ongoing service needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical and low-voltage electrical repairs on smart locker units on-site (using a car or van).
- Troubleshoot issues and conduct functional testing on units.
- Respond to remote software fault reports with support from the technical team.
- Replace and test electronic components using technical documentation.
- Document interventions and prepare detailed reports.
- Travel to client sites based on SLAs for reactive maintenance and support.
- Assist with new installations, locker deployment, cable routing, and inventory organization.
- Follow safety protocols and complete regular technical training.
Requirements
- Must have valid work authorisation for the UK – sponsorship is not available.
- Must hold a valid UK driver’s licence.
- Comfortable working from home initially; flexibility to move to a hybrid setup as the UK office is established.
- Strong technical problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Proficient with basic IT tools, including Excel and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly.
